Twenty Questions

Jonathan Ames

POST ROAD invites its readers to submit questions for Jonathan Ames, author of the novels I Pass Like Night, The Extra Man, Wake Up, Sir! and two nonfiction books, What's Not to Love? and My Less Than Secret Life. He is the winner of a Guggenheim Fellowship, and in addition to writing he performs frequently as a quasi-comedian/storyteller/fool. Some of his books are in various stages of development for film and TV. He had one boxing match, fighting and losing as “The Herring Wonder.” He's appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and has written for numerous journals. Please submit your questions to by February 1. POST ROAD will select twenty questions and publish them along with Mr. Ames's answers, in an upcoming issue. Those whose questions are selected will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which the interview appears.
