CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: POST ROAD ISSUE 17

Post Road literary magazine, now published by the Department of English at Boston College, invites submissions for its next issue, to be published in Spring 2009. Submissions of previously unpublished fiction, poetry, and nonfiction will be accepted via email only from August 15 - September 15, 2008.

General: Please include your name and contact info in the text of your email and in the header of your submission. A cover letter is not required, but it is appreciated. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable so long as we are notified immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. We read all submissions carefully, so allow at least six months for a response. Responses will be sent via email. If, after six months have passed, you still haven't heard from us, please feel free to query us at postroad@bc.edu with the title of your submission(s) and the date it was sent.

Poetry: Submit up to six poems per reading period. No restrictions as to style or subject matter.

Prose: Submit one short story or essay per reading period. No restrictions as to style or subject matter. Length is open, but excessively long pieces will have to be exceptional.
